From a 40-mph crash to the Jaws of Life: Inside Ruckersville rescue training

RUCKERSVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – First responders from eight states joined fire science students in Ruckersville Thursday for hands-on training focused on rescuing people from modern vehicles.

The National Auto Body Council organized the event at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Ruckersville facility. It was the council’s largest emergency extrication training event to date and involved 32 donated vehicles.
