Taylor Road Synagogue was evicted from its building at 1970 S. Taylor Road in Cleveland Heights before the start of the High Holy Days a little over two months after an appeals court ruled that its evictor had the legal right to do so.
The Cleveland Jewish News learned that the synagogue was evicted on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, which began at sunset on Sept. 11.
In a statement sent to the CJN, synagogue president Vladimir B. Victor said he believes the congregation has been evicted illegally and that the congregation has a valid 100-year-lease that is being violated, mainly on antisemitic grounds…
