Road work begins along US 17 in North Myrtle Beach. What drivers should know

Construction along a stretch of U.S. 17 in North Myrtle Beach aimed at improving public safety in certain intersections began on Wednesday.

For the next several months, motorists will see work being done to several intersections, including upgrades to traffic signal equipment and the installation of concrete medians as part of the City of North Myrtle Beach’s U.S. 17 Corridor Improvements Project.

The affected intersections are:

  • U.S. 17 at 46th Avenue South
  • U.S. 17 at Windy Hill Road
  • U.S. 17 at 37th Avenue South
  • U.S. 17 at 33rd Avenue South
  • U.S. 17 at 27th Avenue South.
