Carlos Johnson trial: Phone records, internet searches shown to jury

A former Newport News police detective presented the jury a timeline of digital evidence in the trial of Carlos Johnson, who is accused of killing a missing mother and her baby.

Former Detective Trevor Buchanan analyzed phone and internet records in the case, with evidence presented dating back to early 2016 — when Johnson first learned Keir was pregnant. Johnson is shown messaging Keir’s sister on Facebook saying she should have an abortion.

Johnson is on trial for two counts of first-degree murder and is accused of killing Keir and Chloe Johnson. Their bodies have never been recovered…
