SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman recognized three deputies and two sergeants with Life Saving Awards on Wednesday for their actions during medical emergencies and water rescues.
Deputies Michael Wieczorek and Christopher Wieczorek were honored after responding to a medical emergency at an apartment complex. The sheriff’s office said a person was found face down in the deep end of a pool.
Christopher Wieczorek, with help from a resident, removed the person from the water and began life-saving measures, according to the sheriff’s office. Michael Wieczorek arrived and assisted with CPR until Sarasota County Fire Department personnel took over…
