MARENGO — Jaylyn Marie Joynes, 21, of Cedar Rapids, was charged Sept. 8 in Iowa County District Court with assault on persons in certain occupations.
According to the criminal complaint filed by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy was trying to arrest someone at 124 S. Main St. in North English about 7:15 p.m. Sept. 7, and Joynes interfered, took off a slipper and threw it at the deputy.
Joynes was released on bond. Arraignment is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 28…
