Flock replacements: Where Dane County would put new traffic cams

The Sun Prairie Police Department is the latest Dane County law enforcement agency to break ties with Flock Safety cameras this year, as the county Sheriff’s Office considers replacing its two dozen cameras from the company with equipment from another vendor.

The Sheriff’s Office is replacing about $80,000 worth of automatic license plate readers, and four companies applied to be the new vendor, including Axon Enterprises Inc., based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Chicago-based Motorola, Lucidia IT in Indianapolis and Ubicquia out of Fort Lauderdale also submitted proposals, according to the county’s contract portal…
