ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — 18-year-old Andres Whitaker has been found guilty on weapons charges after police caught him with a loaded handgun in June.
According to the Rockford Police Department, Whitaker and a younger teen were pulled over in the area of Preston Street and Newport Avenue around 10 p.m. on June 3, after being involved in what police described at the time as an “earlier incident.”
Police said Whitaker and the other suspect got out of the car and ran but were arrested a short time later…
