EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – Eleven people from southern Illinois now face federal charges in an alleged criminal enterprise to sell race cars and motorcycles stolen from a downtown St. Louis warehouse.
St. Louis city prosecutors charged eight of the 11 individuals in March for one specific warehouse break-in on Dec. 31, 2025, according to previous FOX 2 reports. Investigators say the group broke into a warehouse on South 7th Street and and stole rare vehicles with the intent to sell them online.
In federal indictment, according to a news release Thursday from the U.S. Department of Justice, the 11 individuals made multiple trips to steal vehicles and motorcycles, transported them back to southern Illinois, and attempted to sell them.
