One Minneapolis elementary school closed since 2005 is on track to reopen

  • Minneapolis Public Schools is considering closing up to 16 schools, including Bethune, Cityview, and Hmong International Academy, due to enrollment and budget concerns.

Minneapolis Public Schools announced this week that it’s considering closing as many as 16 schools, and some are on the city’s north side.

The potential schools, included in three options the district administrators presented to the board on Tuesday, include Bethune, Cityview and Hmong International Academy.
