Public agencies across Lane County are offering up surple vehicles and equipment to the public as part of an annual public auction.
Lane County Fleet Services will conduct a public, open-bid auction with proxy bidding from Thursday, Sept. 24, to Saturday, Sept. 26. The county auctions vehicles each year because of age or mileage, with proceeds going to a replacement fund that helps offset the cost of buying replacement vehicles.
Vehicles can be previewed before the sale on the county’s website. In-person viewing will also be available during the auction from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Lane County Fleet Service’s location at 3040 North Delta Highway in Eugene…
