A six-story apartment building with 188 homes has been approved at 13800 NE Bellevue-Redmond Road in Bellevue’s BelRed neighborhood, and 143 of the units will be set aside as affordable housing.
The City of Bellevue has issued a notice of decision granting the project, called Koz on BelRed, Administrative Design Review approval — a staff-level city review of how a building looks and fits its site. The applicant is Travis Morton of Koz Development.
A one-story masonry building now standing on the property, along with its parking lot, will be torn down to make way for the new building. The site currently holds a commercial building with multiple tenants.
A Mix of Small and Standard Apartments
The 188 apartments will be split between two types. There will be 139 micro-apartments, which the city defines as individual units no larger than 320 square feet, and 49 one- and two-bedroom apartments…
