COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A fast-casual fried chicken chain launched by Sean Thomas, the grandson of Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas, is preparing to expand to Columbus.
Minnie Bird has signed a franchise agreement to bring three locations to the Columbus area, according to a company news release. The release did not specify where the restaurants will be located or when they will open.
Sean Thomas, who owns multiple Wendy’s locations, founded Minnie Bird alongside David Sloan, the former CEO of Naf Naf Grill, in 2024. The planned Columbus expansion is set to bring the first Minnie Bird restaurants to Ohio. The concept currently has three locations, all in the Chicago area.
