GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The countdown to ArtPrize 2026 is almost over.
With just one day until voting was scheduled to begin for the 16-day event, artists across Grand Rapids spent Thursday putting the finishing touches on their work and venues were getting ready for visitors.
This year’s ArtPrize features more than 1,100 artists and more than 1,000 entries across more than 150 venues throughout the city. The city expects more than 1 million people to visit during the competition. Last year, the city says ArtPrize drew 967,000 visitors and generated $82.6 million in economic impacts.
