POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 76-year-old Lake Wales man is back in jail after deputies pulled him over for swerving on U.S. Highway 27 in Waverly on Thursday.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy spotted a Jeep drifting across the southbound lanes on September 17. A quick check on the license plate showed that the vehicle’s registered owner had a suspended license tied to prior DUI offenses.
