Developer behind controversial data center near Armory sues St. Louis

The developer behind a controversial $3.1 billion data center set to be built in Midtown St. Louis filed suit against the city this week.

The company, TerraWatt, plans to build a 120-megawatt data center in the old Famous-Barr warehouse on Market Street as part of a planned technology district.

In a suit against the city’s Board of Adjustment, partner David Lambiaso alleges that two conditions the board imposed as a requirement on the construction of the data center are illegal and would be “practically impossible” for the planned project…
