Rosemount is considering more than $60 million in parks and recreation upgrades, with city leaders outlining a multiyear tax plan to help pay for them.The city said the plan, called “Built to Play,” could expand Central Park with an accessible playground, a bigger splash pad and a new event space.“The goal is the future and where we’re going with our parks,” Parks and Recreation Director Dan Schultz said.“Definitely one of our busiest parks in the community with special events,” Schultz said. “The goal is the future and where we’re going with our parks.”The proposal also includes two new youth baseball and softball fields, one adult baseball field, a remodeled Erickson Park and playground improvements.
“We’re seeing a lot of new residents, and they have expectations that we’re going to provide high-end recreational facilities,” Schultz said.
