BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A hearing was postponed Friday by seven months in an alleged impaired driving crash on East Panama Lane that resulted in the death of a 6-year-old girl last year.
During the Friday hearing, defense attorney David Torres — representing Cesar Magana-Mendoza — said a motion was filed to postpone the hearing and that he was able to discuss new dates with prosecutors.

Kern County Judge Chad Louie approved postponing the trial date to April 26, 2027. Magana-Mendoza is due back in court April 16 for readiness.
