GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A man who was the legal guardian of a 4-year-old girl when she died appeared in court Friday to request bond.
Officials said Bradley Craig and Nancy West were charged in June with homicide by child abuse after Cassie Cheryl Ann Owens went into cardiac arrest and died at the hospital in April.
Officials said the couple, who were the child’s legal guardians and not licensed foster parents, deprived her of proper nutrition.
“The individuals in question in the death of the four-year-old in Greenville County have never been licensed foster parents in the State of South Carolina through the Department of Social Services,” DSS said…
