PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Port St. Lucie road rage incident that escalated into a physical fight and shooting landed two men in handcuffs Thursday.
According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, the incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. near Southwest California Boulevard and Southwest Brevity Terrace. Police said that before the shooting, one driver believed he was being followed after merging onto Southwest Crosstown Parkway. The vehicles had passed each other, and one driver believed the other had cut him off.
Investigators determined there was no intentional following, police said. One of the drivers, identified as Tylon Kukielka, 57, was driving with his girlfriend to her home after leaving a local restaurant. The other driver, identified as Dean Plotts, 41, was traveling in the same direction…
