A group of East Baton Rouge Parish Prison inmates allegedly gained access to a control panel and attacked another man in his cell.
Kaleub Parker, William Peters, Jace Jackson, Jeremiah Jackson and Malachi Cooper — all 17 years old — face counts of aggravated assault in connection with the attack at the prison, according to arrest records.
On Sept. 11, Parker forced himself past a corrections deputy and gained access to a control panel where he was able to open all of the cells, sheriff’s deputies said. CCTV footage showed that when the cells opened, the man who was attacked tried to keep his cell door closed by hand…
