While alcohol sales decline, some Texans have a need for mead

WYLIE, Texas — Believe it or not, Oktoberfest celebrations kick off this week across the state and in Germany. But other than the summer spike in sales during the World Cup for some companies, many in the alcohol industry are not popping bottles like before, except for a certain type of alcohol called mead.

Mead is a fermented formula, and Carlos Herrera is the creative chemist.
