North Richland Hills police said Nancy Kay Carpenter, 46, was found dead inside a storage unit early Thursday after a 911 caller reported that she was unresponsive. Officers who responded shortly before 4 a.m. found no signs of a crime, police said.
Officers were called to a storage facility in the 3800 block of Rufe Snow Drive, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. A police news release cited by the paper said there was no evidence of foul play and that the death appeared to be medical in nature.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Carpenter. The Star-Telegram also reported that she had been living in the storage unit. Police have not publicly explained what led them to characterize the death as medical in nature or identified the person who made the 911 call.
