PORTLAND, Ore (KOIN) – Authorities are looking for a person who killed a deer with a spear near Monroe in Benton County.
On Sept. 9, 2026, Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife troopers discovered the buck on private property near Cox Lane and Foster Road outside Monroe.

The spear was lodged in the animal, and the deer had been left to rot, according to wildlife officials.
Police are asking anyone with information about the case to come forward. They said tips may be submitted anonymously.
