First Alert Forecast: Drier Weekend… Wet Next Week

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – There are a few lingering showers as the remnants of Norbert make their exit stage right. Upslope Kailua-Kona even has some thunder and lightning this afternoon. But the trend is drier just in time for the weekend.

Another wet episode is likely the middle of next week. Remnants of T.D. 15-E will recreate a Norbert-like situation, although there could be more days of moisture as a tropical cyclone could potentially be forming to our south.

Surf is elevated along east, west and south shores. A new south swell could push waves up to advisory level this weekend…
