CARENCRO – For all the talk surrounding the Acadiana-Carencro rivalry being dead, Acadiana coach Doug Dotson said Friday’s game provided a reminder that the rivalry is far from that.
The Wreckin’ Rams found themselves in a true battle during Friday’s 41-27 win against the Golden Bears. Acadiana could never quite put the Bears away and Dotson gave credit to Carencro coach Gavin Peters and his offensive game plan.
“We heard they were down; they ain’t down,” Dotson said. “That’s a good football team and coach Peters prepared his team very well. They gave us a lot of trouble. If you thought this rivalry was dead, you can put that to bed.”…
