Asian Autumn Festival brings thousand-year-old tradition to Reno

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A thousand-year-old tradition celebrating the harvest, family, and the full moon is coming to Reno this weekend.

The Asian Community Development Council is hosting the Asian Autumn Festival, also called Asian Thanksgiving, at the J Resort Glow Plaza on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Asian Americans are the fastest-growing demographic in the country, according to organizers of the event. They said gatherings like this festival allow the public to stop by and learn about Asian cultures…
