Founded in 1991, Gilligan’s Seafood has expanded over the years to offer its fresh seafood in locations around the Lowcountry. With locations currently open in Beaufort, Johns Island, Moncks Corner, and Summerville, Gilligan’s closed its Goose Creek location about two months ago and is currently searching for a new Goose Creek home.
“We’re currently looking at a couple of different pieces of land,” owner Randy Marvin told What Now on Friday. “We’re going to renovate a smaller building and/or buy a piece of land.”
As that search continues, Gilligan’s Seafood is also preparing to undertake renovations on its Moncks Corner restaurant. Describing the renovations as “an update” for the Gilligan’s Seafood in Moncks Corner, Marvin says the store expects to remain open for most of the process, hoping to close only for about a week of work…
