Clay County deputies flooded a residential block in Oakleaf Plantation on Thursday after a report of shots fired on Bayridge Court, prompting a heavy law enforcement presence near Wakemont Drive and Piedmont Manor Drive. No injuries were reported, and officials say all subjects involved in the incident have been detained.
According to News4JAX, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was working the shots-fired report on Bayridge Court and said there is no threat to the community. Residents nearby were asked to avoid the immediate vicinity and to follow the directions of law enforcement personnel on scene while deputies worked the area.
The station’s report notes the sheriff’s office said it would release more information as it becomes available.
