Saturday Is Mostly Dry Before Sunday Rain
Northeast winds will generally run 5 to 10 mph, with rain chances staying close to zero through most of the day. Saturday night turns mostly cloudy, and rain could begin by late evening, setting up a much less cooperative Sunday.
Rain showers could begin by late Saturday evening and continue into Sunday, with isolated thunderstorms mainly Sunday afternoon and Sunday night. Across Saturday night through Monday, rainfall totals could range from 0.1 to 1.5 inches.
Sunday Could Bring More Rain
The more serious rain chance comes Sunday, when showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible mainly in the afternoon and at night. Philadelphia was forecast to have easterly winds that gradually become southeasterly.
The National Weather Service Mount Holly office says the overall excessive-rainfall risk is marginal, but brief heavy downpours could still create trouble.
