A brush fire that started from a burning vehicle southwest of Perris grew to 30 acres Friday night before firefighters stopped its forward progress, according to CAL FIRE Riverside.
The fire was reported at 7:51 p.m. in the unincorporated community of Mead Valley, where a vehicle fire spread to surrounding vegetation.
