(Lafayette, LA) – Weight is a major issue for many people in Lafayette, and when someone from Chicago decided to body-shame a deputy from the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, the good people in Acadiana are standing up for her.
Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Officer Aubrey Picard is the resource officer at Iberia Middle School. Picard tells me she has always wanted to be a law enforcement officer, and she has worked hard at her career. She’s been on patrol, and now this mother of a 6-year-old child spends her days at the middle school protecting other people’s children.
