Severe weather coverage for Lubbock and South Plains on Sept. 19, 2026

LUBBOCK, Texas — Severe weather is expected to impact the South Plains on Saturday, September 19.

Some storms have the chance of producing damaging wind gusts upwards of 70 MPH, hail upwards of quarter sized (1.00” in diameter) and locally heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.
