ST. LOUIS – A woman has admitted to stealing more than $100,000 in donations meant to help sick pets in the St. Louis region and using the money for personal expenses is now behind bars.
Constance Kruse, 54, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, pleaded guilty Friday to one count of deceptive business practices as part of a plea deal with the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, according to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office.
Investigators say Kruse defrauded and financially exploited donors of Saving St. Louis Pets, a Missouri not-for-profit organization that helps provide medical care for sick pets within 150 miles of the City of St. Louis, primarily for owners with financial needs…
