EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Live drumming, dancing, and centuries of heritage filled the air this weekend as Angel Mounds State Historic Site hosted its 41st annual Native American Days.
The two-day festival welcomes families to experience Indigenous culture up close through traditional performances, archery, living history demonstrations, and an artisan vendor market featuring handcrafted jewelry, beadwork, and pottery.
Leading the dance and drum circles is the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, the only federally recognized tribe in Indiana.
