HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Space enthusiasts and community leaders will gather in the Rocket City next month to honor pioneers of the cosmos and inspire the next generation of discovery.
The U.S. Space & Rocket Center Foundation is hosting the Space Explorers’ Celebration: “An Evening Among Legends of Space” on Friday, Oct. 2 at the Saturn V Hall.
The signature event will feature retired U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Charlie Bolden, a veteran astronaut and former NASA Administrator. Bolden flew four Space Shuttle missions (STS-61C, STS-31, STS-45, and STS-60) before leading the agency from 2009 to 2017…
