LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB+WAVE) — Three jockeys were hospitalized and a horse was euthanized after a six-horse accident during a race Saturday night at Churchill Downs.
According to Darren Rogers, a spokesperson for Churchill Downs, the incident occurred during the second race on the far turn when Lutkenhaus, ridden by Cristian Torres, collapsed in front of other horses and jockeys.
