Hundreds of people gathered Saturday for the grand opening of the Busse Branch of the Cedar Rapids Public Library, a new facility aimed at better serving families on the city’s west side.
The Busse Branch is now open to the public. The new, state-of-the-art library is double the size of the previous Ladd Library that served the west side. The facility includes a larger children’s program area, larger meeting rooms, an auditorium and outdoor reading spaces.
