ROBERTS COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Public Safety released information regarding a motorcycle wreck that resulted in the death of a 31-year-old man.
According to Texas DPS, around 5:43 p.m. on Sept. 19, Lane Austin Smith, of Miami, Texas, was riding a2008 Harley-Davidson Road King traveling westbound on FM 283. Officials said the motorcycle left the roadway, entered the ditch, and overturned for an unknown reason, ejecting Smith at FM 283 and Quarter Horse Road.
DPS stated that Smith was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries sustained in the wreck. Officials said Smith was not wearing a helmet, and the Texas Highway Patrol is still investigating…
