Humidity returns as heat remains, another break ahead

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Humidity begins to rebound as the heat sticks around, bringing heat concerns back for the first half of the workweek before another weak cool front brings drier air back in.

MONDAY FORECAST

It will be a bit warmer on Monday morning as Gulf moisture increases across the area. This will result in hot, muggy afternoon temperatures in the 90s. A weak disturbance will spark scattered thunderstorms during the second half of the day.

The weather should remain dry until the afternoon and early evening hours. A few thunderstorms may produce gusty winds and brief heavy downpours. These storms should diminish after sunset.

Rain chances aren’t that great and are limited to Monday and Tuesday at best. Many residents will see less than a quarter of an inch of rainfall, but higher amounts are possible with the stronger, slow-moving storms.
