MERIDIAN — Ada County Coroner’s Office employees took turns reading the names, one by one, of 28 people whose remains were recently laid to rest in a special mausoleum at Meridian’s Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Some had died as many as two decades ago, others only last year. They ranged in age from infancy to 90. All had, for whatever reason, been entrusted to the coroner’s office for their final arrangements on Thursday morning.
“There are times when a community gathers to celebrate a life surrounded by family, friends, photographs, stories and memories,” Jake Garn, a managing partner at Cloverdale Funeral Home, said. “Today’s a little bit different. Today, we gather for those people whose final chapter was written without those familiar voices around them.”…
