Jury convicts Akron woman of fatal hit-and-run

AKRON, Ohio — An Akron woman accused of killing a 30-year-old Akron man in a hit-and-run crash while she was driving under the influence has been convicted of vehicular manslaughter.

Africa Watson, 28, also was found guilty of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich.
