CINCINNATI (WXIX) – More than 70 dachshunds competed in costume Sunday at the ninth annual Oktoberfest “Running of the Wieners” at Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove.
Ten heats of dachshunds lined up before running 70 feet in costume to their owners for the title of fastest wiener dog in Cincinnati.
SPCA Cincinnati hosts event
The event was put on by SPCA Cincinnati. President and CEO Chris Seelbach said the race is fun for everyone involved and also provides a platform to talk about the organization’s work.
