(WOWK) More flooding is possible across a large swath of the 13 news viewing area. The map below shows the counties in dark green as the area of concern for flooding Sunday night through Monday morning. Light green polygons are where flooding is already taking place as of 9:15 p.m. Sunday night, September 20, 2026.

Many people in the region were met with flash flooding as they woke up Sunday morning. See the rain total estimated below from 9:15 p.m. Saturday through 9:15 p.m. Sunday.
Meanwhile a new round of strong to severe storms is moving across Ohio and heading for West Virginia, crossing the Ohio River generally around midnight. Another 1 to 2 inches of rain is possible in the cluster of storms moving across Ohio. Many areas will not receive that much rain and some places in southern West Virginia may not receive rain.
Never drive into an area where water covers the roads.
