Families and supporters gathered at Penn State Behrend for Emma’s Footprints’ 11th annual memorial walk, honoring little ones lost during pregnancy or infancy. The organization was founded in memory of Emma Kathryn Dailey, whose mother said was born into heaven in 2007.
“She’d turn 19 this year, which is wild to think about, and so when I left the hospital without my little girl, just, it was really dark and lonely,” said Tracy Dailey. Sunday’s walk was part of Emma’s Footprints’ 2026 walk season, which brought families together in communities across the country to honor babies gone too soon.

“This is us showing up and parenting our babies that are not here on Earth, and so creating that safe place for other families to do that and grieve in their own way is just, it’s really an honor, and it’s really humbling,” said Dailey.
