SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A 33-year-old man was seriously injured Sunday after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing it into a parked car in University Heights, authorities said.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened around 1:25 p.m. in the 4300 block of of Louisiana Street.
Police said the man was riding a KTM motorcycle northbound on of Louisiana Street when, for an unknown reason, he lost control and struck a parked BMW 328i along with the west curb.

The motorcyclist suffered an open fracture to his right femur and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
