MILWAUKEE – A Milwaukee man, who prosecutors said choked a woman and pointed a gun at her in front of two children before engaging in a two-hour standoff with police in April 2026, has been sentenced.

Court records indicate Tracy Suggs pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery and felony failure to comply. Six other charges were dismissed but read into the record as part of a plea deal.

A judge then sentenced Suggs to one-and-a-half years in prison and two years of extended supervision.
