A 2-year-old baby girl suffered serious injuries after her mother’s boyfriend allegedly beat her. Her injuries included a fractured skull, among others.
The incident happened last year. Police arrested 21-year-old Jordan Padilla at the time. Reportedly, the toddler was at home in Plainfield with her mother and Padilla.

The incident unfolded after police received a call concerning a 2-year-old girl who was found “unconscious,” as the Will County Sheriff’s Office said in their statement posted on Facebook on 16 March 2025. The girl suffered “suspicious injuries” and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
“On 03/15/2025, at approximately 6:50 PM, deputies with the Will County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the 21500 block of W. Franklin Circle in Unincorporated Plainfield for a report of a two-year-old child who was unconscious but breathing. When deputies arrived, Emergency Medical Service (EMS) members of the Lockport Township Fire Protection District were already on scene removing the child from the home.
