Crew and passengers of the 35 hot air balloons that launched during the Great Forest Park Balloon Race on Saturday landed safely, and are all accounted for, officials for the event reported.
Curious observers in north St. Louis on Saturday evening came upon a handful of the balloons that had landed in residential neighborhoods. At least one landed on top of a tree. Race officials report that the crew was fine, but that the balloon was not so fortunate.
