ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is warning the public about a scam going around the community involving homes for rent.
“We’re getting people taking pictures from houses for sale and posting the house for rent, offering a little less than market value, getting people excited asking for a deposit to be put down, then they ghost you after they take your deposit,” President of the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors Chris Venegas said.
